Washington based coffin and casket manufacturer JC Atkinson has been named as the 2009 national winner of the British Chambers of Commerce Green Award. The Green Award recognizes the company that demonstrates environmental best practice, ethical best practice or sustainable development.
The Chamber Awards were launched by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) in 2004 to recognize and celebrate business excellence through the successes and achievements of its Accredited Chambers of Commerce and their members.
David Frost, Director General of the BCC said “JC Atkinson is a business that demonstrates that you can be green and commercially successful at the same time. This company is absolutely leading the way in terms of driving change within a traditional industry.”
